2020 Intern: Jennifer Gallagher

Kate Munning

Jen graduated in December from the University of Delaware with a major in environmental studies and a minor in economics. In college she was very involved in Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed community service fraternity, where she worked with local Scout troops and nonprofits coordinating community service projects as well as planning camping trips and other outdoor activities for the fraternity. Jen enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and any time spent outdoors.

She says, “I chose to intern with The Land Conservancy because I wanted to learn more about open space planning and preservation. While interning, I’ve really enjoyed learning about the incredible preservation work that The Land Conservancy has done in New Jersey and working everyday with people who are passionate about the environment. I’m looking forward to applying everything I’ll learn during my time as an intern to a career in planning.”

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
