Mihir is a second year graduate student pursuing his master’s degree in city and regional planning at Rutgers University. His past work experience ranges from county-level open space mapping to regional transportation planning. However, an emphasis on the power of GIS in environmental applications has led him to seek an internship at the Land Conservancy of New Jersey.
In addition to hiking and spending time in nature, Mihir also enjoys writing music and is an avid skier when the weather permits.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work for an organization as accredited as the Land Conservancy because it will provide ways to explore the relationship between preserving important natural resources and planning at a township level. In the fight against climate change and environmental degradation, these experiences will no doubt be invaluable in my pursuit of knowledge in this field.”
Upon graduation Mihir hopes to secure a job relating to sustainability and GIS-based mapping and analysis.
