Intern Class of 2019: Christine Leonhardt!

While interning at The Land Conservancy, Christine has been assisting with Environmental Resource Inventory Updates, Open Space updates, Flood Acquisition Plans and grant applications.

“I chose to intern at The Land Conservancy because I want to be a part of preserving our state’s natural beauty. “The Land Conservancy’s mission is inspiring, and I identify with the organization’s values,” Christine explains.

Christine is receiving two honors this year at graduation! She earned a 4.0 GPA  in the Environmental Justice Minor and was selected by the faculty of the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies as the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Geography this year.

Christine plans to attend graduate school to study urban design and make cities happier, healthier, and greener places. She would like to continue to educate about living sustainably, and the importance of nature.

“I learned a lot about conserving open space and planning, and I had a wonderful experience working here at The Land Conservancy.”
