Sameer Agrawal is a senior at Rutgers University, majoring in environmental policy with a certificate in GIS and a sustainability minor. He’s had various other environmental-related internships, but he’s excited to see where the conservation work at the Land Conservancy can take him.
He says, “I chose TLCNJ due to the combinations of work they do, from open space plans to farmland preservation plans. There is also an additional component of technical work, which is a good intersection of my skills and interests. My other internships have focused on environmental compliance rather than planning, so I’m excited to work with people and land. I’ve always been interested in working with municipalities, since these plans can affect that we see in our local communities. Non-profit work is new to me, and I’m excited as I think it will be rewarding to see how people can make changes happen at the local level.”
