The Land Conservancy of New Jersey will be hosting the Solar Eclipse event at our South Branch Preserve Community Garden, Monday, August 21, starting at 1:30PM. Due to the inability to obtain Solar Eclipse viewing glasses The Land Conservancy of New Jersey will not be able to provide them. Feel free to try to obtain them or build one of the “Do it yourself” viewers. Come watch the Great American Eclipse with your friends at The Land Conservancy! A guided meadow walk with our staff naturalist will take place at 3:15PM. Water and snacks will be provided.
The Community Garden is located at the intersection of Wolfe Road and Route 46 in Budd Lake. It is part of South Branch Preserve, which totals over 200 acres. Preserved by The Land Conservancy and its partners (including Mt. Olive Township) this land was purchased to protect the headwaters of the South Branch of the Raritan River, a drinking water supply source for over 1.5 million New Jersey residents.
