Can you believe that our community garden is in its sixth season? Located on a quarter-acre of Land Conservancy property, our fellow gardeners have cultivated their plots to produce many delicious, organic vegetables. From green beans to tomatoes to kale we enjoy seeing what our plot owners have grown over these past several years.
It is now time to prepare our garden for the winter months and we need your help!
On Saturday, September 22nd, we’re having an Open House from 9:00am to 2:00pm. We’re looking for volunteers of all ages to help us overturn plots, spread woodchips and other basic tasks to ensure our 2019 season is just as fruitful.
Suggested work attire is simple – long pants, closed shoes, and some elbow grease. Our staff will have gloves and gardening tools for you. We’ll also serve some light refreshments.
And, if you’re interested in having your very own 10’x10’ organic garden for 2019, we can help you pick out a plot. You can find rates for both residents and non-residents here and additional details about the garden here.
The community garden is located near the intersection of Wolfe Road and Route 46 in Budd Lake. If you’d like to reserve a plot, volunteer or require additional information, contact Barbara McCloskey at (973) 541-1010, x14, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may also contact Barbara if you’d like to help us out on Saturday, September 22nd.
Hope to see you there!
